Mumbai (Maharashtra): The ‘Qhoj Safar: The India Connect’ delegation—currently on a tour to promote the 30th-anniversary celebrations of Ma’din Academy and the ‘India Holy Quran Award’ (the country’s largest Quran competition)—received a warm welcome in Mumbai.

The team entered Maharashtra after beginning their journey in the national capital, Delhi, and conducting direct meetings with Islamic universities, higher Islamic institutions, colleges, Quran study centers, and prominent Islamic figures across various states. As part of this tour, the group also visited key Islamic educational institutions, as well as cultural and historical sites, in Mumbai and Pune.

The delegation visited several institutions, including the renowned Darul Uloom Mahboobe Subhani, Darul Uloom Ali Hasan Ahle Sunnat, and the Dawat-e-Islami Centre in Mumbai, as well as the Sidra Institute and Jamia Qadiriya in Pune. The team personally assessed the academic and cultural activities at each of these institutions. Both sides held detailed discussions on matters such as strengthening academic partnerships between institutions, expanding the branches of Quranic studies, and updating traditional curricula to align with contemporary requirements.

Prominent scholars and office-bearers of various institutions participated in the reception programs held at different centers. These included Sayyid Ikramul Haq (President, Darul Uloom Mahboobe Subhani), Maulana Muhammad Khatim Ashrafi Misbahi (President, Darul Uloom Ali Hasan Ahle Sunnat), Sayyid Murad Babu (spokesperson for Dawat-e-Islami), Hashmat Ali Misbahi, Mufti Firoz Misbahi, Zeeshan Attari (a leader of Dawat-e-Islami), Shihabudheen Noorani, and Sharif Ibrahim Noorani.

The ‘Qhoj Safar’ delegation is led by Sayyid Muhammad Farooq Jamalullaili (Captain of ‘Qhoj Safar’ and Director of Ma’din Sadath Academy), Abdul Jaleel Azhari (Director General of the India Holy Quran Award), Muhammad Junaid Adany, Hafiz Muhammad Naseem Adany, Afsal Adany, Jafar Adany, and Jubair Adany.
